The room was filled with a lot of South Carolina love for Keith’s groovy 30th surprise birthday party at JBLM. Good food, music, friends, family and dancing made for a really fun evening. When Keith thanked the women in his life during a toast, with his wife, mom and grandmother present, I knew I was witnessing something special. Happy b’day Keith and congrats on your promotion!

Over 600 people swung through almost 20 venues featured in the Snohomish Wedding Tour on June 2. We exhibited our booth at Jardin del Sol and met many lovely brides. What a pretty outdoor venue to host a wedding or event!
Paying homage to a bygone era of speakeasies, burlesque dancers, heirloom jewelry and custom clothing with attention to detail, we indulged ourselves in a luxurious styled shoot draped in red. Rich textures, saturated colors, dramatic lighting and glamorous makeup served as the inspiration. The backdrop is the Sanctuary at Admiral in Seattle, built in 1929 and filled with one-of-a-kind pieces. Dressed for dinner? I’m sure they’d be happy to have you.

What a gorgeous shoot! I love how sexy and sumptuous it all is.
Gosh, we had so much fun as vendors at the Point Defiance Pagoda on Saturday. It reopened in January after $7 million in renovations to repair the arson damage of 2011. The building and grounds are stunning and we can’t wait to return when everything is in full bloom during wedding season!

We had a blast at JBLM’s Operation Care Fair on Saturday. I worked alongside my partner-in-crime and life which is a gift in itself. Brian helped outfit folks from our over sized costume bag and took their photos at our fun booth. I talked about photography and heard remarkable stories from surprise birthday parties to welcome home celebrations, family reunions, retirement ceremonies and pets cherished like family members. I hope I get to meet Nacho the six pound Chihuahua!
When paired with documentary photography, meaningful moments can be relived as the stories get passed from one generation to the next. I look forward to sharing some of these milestones with my camera!
